faithbooking crop survey

My creation

The future of our Monthly Faithbooking Crop hangs in the balance and the survey that follows is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!!

Our very first faithbooking crop at Hosanna! took place in October 2005; it began as quarterly event with workshops in January, April, July, and October. The crops always ran from 9:00 am-4:00 pm, with the option of staying as late as 9:00 pm. By the end of 2006 we were hosting monthly workshops from 9:00 am-4:00 pm, with the 9:00 pm end time option offered quarterly.

For the last year or so, Hosanna! has been unable to accommodate a quarterly 9:00 pm end time and our regular workshops have been shortened by one hour, ending promptly at 3:00 pm instead of 4:00 pm.  Attendance and volunteer support have dropped considerably and I feel the time has come to make a significant change. Here are the options I am considering:

1. Continuing with the current schedule at Hosanna! (which runs through August) and then ending the crops altogether.

2. Continuing with the current schedule at Hosanna! (which runs through August) and then finding a new location with adequate space, light, and tables. Finding another church (or churches) willing to host our crops on a quarterly basis, would be the best option.  The alternative would be renting a location and charging a workshop fee… meaning some would not be able to afford to attend.  (Just the thought of that makes me want to end the crops altogether.)  We have always provided materials to those attending who were unable to provide for themselves. Having to cover the expense of renting a space as well just doesn’t seem feasible.

3. Continuing with the current schedule at Hosanna! (which runs through August) and then… waiting.  Waiting on God to see what He has next instead of pushing this into a direction contrary to His plan.

I would greatly appreciate your feedback on the matter!  My decision will be based on your responses.  Click HERE to complete the survey (you will remain completely anonymous) by Friday, March 23, 2012.  I will post the results and plans for the Monthly Faithbooking Crop on Monday, March 26, 2012.  Thank you SO MUCH!!!

I absolutely LOVE the crops, but would prefer them to go longer. I’m open to monthly or quarterly, but would prefer monthly, since I cannot always make every month so at least then I’d make some.
Tina’s devos have been rich, and her creativity that she shares with us, and her new angles on scrapping have been a huge blessing to me. I appreciate her helping me go deeper with my scrapping/living!
Thanks, Tina!

Thank you so much for the feedback, Diane. I appreciate it!

Is hosanna not willing to accomodate us anymore? I would love to see the workshops continue on a monthly basis if possible, with the summer off. I would say wait on God for his leading and don’t charge for the crops.

The church is unable to accommodate anything other than 9-3 and our attendance has dropped by more than 50% this last year because of it. (I’m trying to figure out what is best for the group as a whole.) Having to be out of the room at exactly 3:00 pm (vs. 5:00 pm even on our short days before) has also given rise to a number of complaints.

Hi Tina,
Sorry for the late response. I was sick with a serious sinus infection for three weeks ans still trying to catch up.

I really love the crops too and would also like the 9 – 4 time with the 9 -9 once a quarter but would even be open to 9 – 9 each month or every other month.

I vote for continuing at Hosanna til August while looking for another location and also praying for God’s guidance.
