Our oldest son was chosen to participate in the MBDA State Honors Band and the performance took place last weekend. While they’ve had several months to prepare for their own part, the middle school students had only ONE DAY of practice together. Let me say this:
IT WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!
Here’s a small sample:
We spent the weekend in Fergus Falls where I spotted several colorful, unique, and textured areas that would be PERFECT for photographing families and/or high school seniors. Next time I’m in the area, I will be sure to give a shout out to anyone interested in a session!
But I digress.
Tony and I thought we should take advantage of our close proximity to the border, using it as an excuse to visit North Dakota for dinner. So the boys could at least say they’d been there (I can’t tell you how many times they’ve complained about having a short list of visited states; it seems to come up every year in school). Needless to say, it was well worth the 30 minute drive. If not for our dinner at the Fryin’ Pan but the lovely image above (taken of Wahpeton, North Dakota while standing in Minnesota).
Here are a couple more images from our stay, which included a gem of a find: the very Shaun Cassidy album my sister Stacey and I fought over as young girls, which happens to be the same album I practiced kissing on. [This little known fact elicited an "EEEEEEEW" from my boys.]
This boy in particular.
Give him another year or so.

Tina, The Shawn Cassidy album;great find. I had that same album too. At the time it was my favorite. Also had Tean Beat magazine pictures of him around the room too. Memories.
You were *SO COOL* Becky, it does not surprise me!!!
