This sweet, little girl is my second cousin.
And I had the pleasure of photographing her first birthday celebration a few weeks ago!
When I arrived, Mom and Dad were busy getting things ready for what ended up being the perfect day for a party.
The spread was GORGEOUS and included a cake and cupcakes made by Mom.
I should say crafted because they were works of art! As guests arrived, everyone moved outside to soak up the sun.
And all was fine… until Grandpa (my uncle) arrived.
He’d told me once that she was afraid of him – but I thought he’d exaggerated a teeny tiny bit.
Turns out I was wrong!
It took a little bit of time (and distance from Grandpa) but she was soon back to her sweet, happy self.
In the meantime, I had fun ”spying on” some other second cousins that didn’t really want to be photographed.
There was lots and lots of food.
A feast fit for a queen princess.
And before long it was time.
Yes, THAT time.
Mom and Dad helped with gifts and the birthday girl enjoyed every second of it.
Here are a few more from the day:
I especially enjoyed watching what happened when Grandma & Grandpa were alone with the kids:
Loving up their grandchildren. So very, very precious.
Thank you again for allowing me to take part in your special day!!!

Great pics tina! Fabulous!
Thanks, Rachel!
Wonderful pictures Tina – Thanks a ton! You also had a great narrative going along with the photos. Thank you for sharing this day with us – that would have been great with you just being there without a camera too!
Clara’s proud Daddy Jerry
You are very welcome!
