Long, looooong ago I used to work at a Minneapolis law firm where I met my friend Leslie. While we’ve managed to stay connected all these years, it’s been forever since we’ve seen each in person. That made this Everyday Session all the more fun!
Leslie has a beautiful home and family. She introduced me to both a few weeks ago when she invited me over to capture a day in their life.
A little furry someone was waiting for me at the door.
Along with a second furry someone inside.
Leslie’s daughter then gave me the official tour which, of course, began in her room. I love capturing little details of things most important to kids in the moment because it hints to their personalities, likes, how they spend their time, and so much more. This young girl is moving out of the princess phase and LOVES peace symbols, gymnastics, and the color purple.
My favorite color is purple, so we hit it straight off. ![]()
Next stop, the basement. Not only was I able to capture some amazing acrobatic feats…
I also spied a little Barbie action.
My favorite moments – unposed, everyday actions we have a tendency to take for granted.
Before heading off to the park, we spent time in their backyard oasis.
The park was one Leslie’s daughter had been itching to visit with her parents.
I love how mom and dad jumped right in.
It’s tough to know when to cut off the sharing with so many great moments captured.
They even treated ME to ice cream at a favorite local spot.
With lots of silliness and giggles between father and daughter. Thank you, thank you Leslie and Jim for the fun afternoon with your family!

I love the pictures. Lisa really loved them. You are fabulous.
