This is one malt recipe you must absolutely try. Especially if you love gingersnaps. And fall. But you’ll need to make a stop at Trader Joe’s first for an essential ingredient… Cookie Butter.
Heck, even if you don’t make the malt you’ll STILL want to head on over to Trader Joe’s for the Cookie Butter. It is THAT GOOD.
This recipe makes two malts. The Cookie Butter adds a caramel-like gooeyness while at the same time providing gingersnap crunchies here and there. A pinch of salt knocks it out of the park.
The printable recipe is below.
Ingredients
- 1 pint vanilla bean ice cream (equivilent is 2 cups)
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- pinch of salt
- 1/3 cup Cookie Butter
Instructions
- Using a blender, mix all of the ingredients together. Pour and serve immediately!

You’ll pay more for it online but I did find Cookie Butter on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Trader-Joes-Speculoos-Cookie-Butter/dp/B006KK4GUO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1347060102&sr=8-1&keywords=cookie+butter
