a fireplace mantel mini makeover, part 2

As I shared with you in THIS post last weekend, I have been itching to take on another decorating project.  I thought perhaps focusing on one small project might help satisfy the need so I mocked up a mantel display to showcase some of our everyday family images.

I knew that I wanted varying sizes, textures, and colors and decided to order a few samples from a new vendor I recently partnered with:

Because THEY PRINT ON BURLAP (how’s that for texture?) and CREATE CUSTOM BARNWOOD FRAMES (even more texture) and, as if that that weren’t enough, THEY EVEN PRINT IMAGES ON WOOD!!!

And distress them on request.  I am so utterly in love with this new vendor and am so very happy to now offer these products to my clients as well.

Because it so fits my style of work.  So here’s how the mantel project turned out:

The largest frame (from Pottery Barn) is 25×25 inches and holds an 8×10 image.  The smallest frame is 8×10 (printed on burlap) and features a 5×7 image.  I also ordered a 20×30 image of my husband and I on wood:

It is quite heavy so I will need to make a trip to the hardward store for supplies before hanging it on the wall.  The custom pieces range in price from $55-$175 and can be created using any images captured by Tina Vega Photography.  If you have any questions, let me know!
