date night w/tony {cooks of crocus hill}

Several years ago, Tony and I had completed this Recreational Enjoyment Inventory after reading His Needs, Her Needs by Willard E. Harley, Jr. (incredible book, by the way).  We were both on board with the idea of taking a cooking class together but just never got around to making it happen.

But while working through a 6-week study through the same book, we revisited the list and decided to spice up our date night calendar with a class at Cooks of Crocus Hill.

We registered for one of their Sunday Suppers:  Mama’s Not Cookin’ nights – a demonstration with lots of good food involved.  😀

Chef Van Kezler whipped up an incredible meal that included a delicious mixed green salad with maple vinaigrette, meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, grilled corn salad, and apple pie turnovers for dessert.

It was incredible.  Not only did we receive recipes for everything made that evening, Chef Van Keszler shared many tips along the way.  We both enjoyed the experience immensely and agree we are ready to take it to the next level => PARTICIPATION (vs. demonstration).  Cooks of Crocus Hill offers so many class options, we are going to have a tough time narrowing things down!  Have you ever taken a class there?  If so, I’d love to hear about your experience!  (Just share it as a comment to this post.)

Hi Tina! I took a class at CoCH a couple of years ago for work event and it was fantastic. Do it! Take care 🙂

I love the Cooks of Crocus Hills and I have taken classes there on several occasions! Our first was a gift from Crystal and we took a participation class that was cooking a Thanksgiving dinner. Incredible! I have also taken my niece and nephew for several classes – given to them as gifts. (But really gifts for me because I get to spend time with them!) I have made pizzas from scratch, made a mother’s day brunch with yummy made-from-scratch breads and pies, and taken a cupcake decorating class. Cooks of Crocus creates a memorable experience every time! The techniques I’ve learned have been invaluable and the recipes have become family favorites! Lynn P.

Italian classes are amazing at Cooks! I want to try a pasta making class.

Wow!! With all of your positive comments, it sounds like we’d be happy with pretty much ANYTHING there. I’ll let you know which class we decide on!!
