When I first had the idea for The Princess/Superhero Project, I wasn’t sure exactly where it would lead. I’m still not sure. Creative wandering at its best. 😀
I wanted to explore the world of make-believe from a child’s point of view. Creativity is as natural to them as breathing. As is, living in the moment.
When children step into a role, they embrace it fully. I love that about them.
I’m fascinated by the fact that we start out in life full of ideas and creativity and the desire to explore. ALL OF US. Then we grow up and for some reason lose touch with that essential part of ourselves.
This little princess allowed me to enter that sweet world. In fact, she invited me in. I went there with the whole “I’ll be out of your hair in 30 minutes” mentality when Princess Sofia unexpectedly invited me to stay for dinner.
Actually, I think the term she used was “feast” – she created a feast for me.
Then she asked me to do the same for her. 😀
It was utterly precious.
