I treasure repeat clients. Not only watching children grow and change over time, but learning more about their personalities and the ever-evolving interactions between family members.
It’s also nice to be able to call upon the little ones as my own personal assistants. As they get to know me over time, the challenge is keeping our sessions fresh.
I consider it part of my job to take the “boringness” out of having pictures taken. 😀
It was my first family session at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum; it happened to take place during the Harvest Festival Weekend and there were pumpkins and scarecrows galore.
We explored. And played. All the while, giving my “assistant” new tasks and challenges. Here are several more of my favorites from our morning together:
At the very end of the session, Mom and Dad pulled out a little book they had written.
A book about a special “princess” who was about to embark on a magical trip.
It took some time before my little assistant realized that she was the princess and would be traveling by airplane to Disney World. [Her initial response: “I really like that book!” Followed by: “I really like airplanes!” And finally: “WE are going to Disney World?!!]
It was SO MUCH FUN watching the news sink in.
Thanks for allowing me to capture the magic; it was pure joy working with all of you!!!
