I hosted my last photography workshop of the season over the weekend and had the opportunity to work with this lovely gal in a one-on-one setting.
It was so much fun getting to know Sarah on a personal level. 😀 We first met two years ago when I photographed her family after the birth of her daughter (click HERE for details). Then again one year later, after their move to a new home (click HERE for details). While we were in essence strangers, working with her felt like I was working with a friend. After spending the day with her on Saturday, I now understand why! Not only do our stories share many common threads, I discovered that Sarah is also a blogger. And an IKEA fan. And a DIYer. For goodness’ sake, she even painted the kitchen cabinets I had admired when photographing their new home (see below):
You will find “before” and “after” pics HERE on her blog. Amazing. (She shares all sorts of organizing tips and is refreshingly candid about life as a momma and wife. LOVE IT!)
Sarah practiced her new skills in staged areas throughout my home. We ate most of the food props for lunch, including my traditional Pickle Sub, Apple Slaw, and a dulce de leche oatmeal pear treat that was incredible. (The recipes for the slaw and gooey dessert-in-jar treat will be posted in the next week or so FYI.)
Best of all, she left the workshop shooting in full-on manual mode!!! Thanks again, Sarah, for such an enjoyable day – I look forward to seeing you again soon!
