I met Dave and Rob though another client I had photographed early this year, someone I simply ADORED. My favorite clients are those who understand that relationships are the heart of my work and are looking to capture the people that mean the most to them.
And after meeting Dave and Rob myself, I knew their wedding would be nothing short of a joy to photograph. Why? Because despite all of the pretty handcrafted details, they asked me to keep people the focus.
Friends and family would be traveling from all over the world to celebrate freedom and love with this special couple. Their favorite people.
And capturing them was extremely important to Dave and Rob. I spent a better part of my day with the wedding party (comprised of their closest friends and family members) and heard many stories.
Stories of adventure and shared history. Laughter. Lots and lots of laughter.
It was easy to see why Dave and Rob wanted this lovely group of people to be the focus of their wedding day.
Because these relationships are clearly the focus of their lives. 😀
The day was made even more memorable by the fact that gay marriage was legalized in Minnesota two years ago to the day; Dave and Rob’s anniversary forever etched in history. Free to love who they want to love…
Here are several more of my favorites:
Thank you again, Dave and Rob, for the privilege of capturing your wedding day!
