My husband likes to use his vacation time to create a summer full of 3-day weekends. Thus, Friday Breakfast Dates have become our thing.
We decided to do things a little differently this year, pairing our summer breakfast dates with location scouting. As I mentioned in an earlier post, in addition to my annual permit at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum I now have a photography permit for all of the Three Rivers Park District locations! Each week we will explore a new park (and breakfast joint). You can follow me on Instagram and check out video clips for each location under the hashtag #yayforphotopermits. This week we made our way to the Lake Minnetonka area, with a breakfast stop at Hazellewood Grill and Tap Room. Lured by their Smoked Gouda Hashbrowns. 😀
After breakfast, we hopped on over to Noerenberg Gardens.
While there wasn’t much yet in bloom besides lilacs and daffodils, the park holds a great deal of promise for the summer months (click HERE for the bloom schedule).
This lakeside park is beautifully laid out with a nice mix of green space and formal gardens. It would be a lovely spot for senior photo sessions.
And family sessions as well. If you are interested in lining something up for the 2016 season, dates as filling quickly so be sure to schedule soon! [All Three Rivers Park District locations require reservations 2-weeks in advance of the session so keep that in mind when choosing your date.]
It will be fun to see how the park evolves over the course of the session season. And to explore it fully with clients. 🙂
