With the end of the school year (and the end of high school period), life gets a bit crazy. I remember this happening with our oldest. And while I was mentally prepared for crazy, I am still playing catch up physically.
Lorenzo’s final OnStage performance took place earlier this month. The show was spectacular!
There were many familiar faces:
Including one of my favorite little clients:
I love that our school values performing arts because talent needs cultivation.
At our last retreat, we rediscovered the magic of play. When we give ourselves permission to indulge the girl within, we open ourselves to new experiences. There is freedom to explore, a desire to try new things, and movement forward.
Opening the door to this year’s theme: Dreamer Girl.
She sees possibility everywhere. Dreamer Girl 2020 will tap into those possibilities by way of a motivating group project, through writing prompts, small gifts, words of encouragement & more! The song that inspired this year’s theme:
Dreamer Girl 2020 will help move you forward with intention by showing you how to give your soul permission to run free, take the next right step & make things happen!
As with all of our other girl-themed retreats, you will have the opportunity to earn special tokens throughout the weekend. The tokens serve as currency and can be used to purchase items at the on-site shop, which will be stocked with inspiring items to help get dreams off the ground. The weekend will include an optional field trip to Dancing Dragonfly Winery, mini photo sessions, and made-from-scratch meals. (All meals will be provided with the exception of one item you will be asked to bring; a signup form will be posted in advance of the retreat.)
WHEN: Friday, February 14-Sunday, February 16, 2020 (Presidents’ Day weekend)
WHERE: The Trails Retreat (St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin)
COST: $200; SUPERSIZE IT by adding Thursday, 2/13 for only $20 more (see payment schedule below*)
*A $50 non-refundable deposit due 6/1/2019 will hold your spot with the remaining balance due in two equal payments on 10/1/2019 and 12/1/2019. A non-refundable deposit allows me to organize this special weekend from year-to-year without creating an unnecessary financial burden on my family or business (in addition to fronting a deposit, I am required to pay the full balance in advance). In the event of a cancellation, the amount paid (minus the $50 deposit) would be refunded once the spot fills.
There are 17 spots available – if you are interested in reserving one, let me know. (THE RETREAT IS FULL! If you are interested in being added to the waiting list, let me know.) Hope you are able to come & dream with me!
With our youngest graduating in two short weeks, I am “seasoned” in the ways of senior life. It seems there is a fee for EVERYTHING: college applications, student housing deposits, AP tests, prom, performing arts, athletic activities & more. The slow drain in high school leads to a full-on downpour by college.
I am mindful about the cost of high school senior sessions because I am living it out as well! If you are the parent of a high school JUNIOR, now is the time to schedule your student’s senior session. Photographers fill quickly with most senior sessions taking place the summer before senior year. Schedule with Tina Vega Photography by June 1 to save an additional $50 off, click HERE for details on this limited-time offer.
It is my goal to offer affordable professional images. Building relationships with clients that last a lifetime is at the center of all that I do.
Senior sessions are just part of everyday life, they don’t have to break the bank.
It’s so easy capturing moments with a smartphone – they are lightweight, always on hand & take decent pictures these days. Some have even left real-camera-world behind, relying solely on their smartphones for everything. I am here to tell you it’s time to dig out that dusty camera bag and I’m backing it with photographic proof. Here’s an image I captured with my iPhone last weekend:
And a similar image I captured hours later with my REAL CAMERA:
