Hi Tina – I love the new website! Checked out the “Soft Kitty”, watched the short video clip – hillarious! But, I have a friend who might actually enjoy “Soft Kitty”. Is the bread pudding tasty? Blessings on your day ~ Jodie

Tina - February 3, 2012 - 2:24 pm

I sampled my first cup yesterday; heated it up & the caramel was a little watery (vs. gooey). Aside from that, it tasted just like homemade!

quick & easy curls

In a recent 5 Fun Things Friday post, I’d shared a similar curling wand.  One that would have cost you your first-born child.  The Remington T-Studio Pearl Curling Wand on the other hand, will not :)  I found a great how-to video that shows just how quick and easy it really is to make a full head of curls:

A fun way to change things up a bit.

Kelli - February 2, 2012 - 6:25 pm

she’s so cute!

Now I have to buy it! Thanks for sharing Tina. :)

Tina - February 2, 2012 - 8:32 pm

Can’t wait to see your curls, Kelli! BTW, it gets SUUUUPER hot. If your hair curls easily, you’ll find you won’t need the highest setting like the gal in the video recommends. I set mine in the middle and the curls stay ALL DAY without a stitch of hair product.

sometimes getting things in order can look a little… disorderly

I finally tackled the Christmas stuff yesterday.  (Yes, our tree was still up!) I took my time sorting and organizing as I packed things up.

wizard of oz

And it made me wonder what life will look like next time I pull this stuff out.

tree skirt from grandma

Will grandma still be here? Will our son be driving? Will life be calm or crazy?

Then it struck me.

big mess

Sometimes when God has His hand in our lives – cleaning things up, perfecting His will, making me more like Him – it can look a little… messy.  It doesn’t mean He’s not there, it doesn’t mean He’s not listening. The mess can actually be a sign He is busy working out the kinks. And before you know it…

no mess

Everything is cleaned up.

And you are left with a new appreciation and awareness of things usually taken for granted.

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster,
to give you a future and a hope.
- Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT)

Crystal Satnik - January 31, 2012 - 10:12 pm

Thanks for this post Tina. I feel like my life is kind of messy right now…trying to play a lot of roles every day. I wouldn’t trade it for anything though.

PS. We still have random Christmas decor around the house that didn’t make it into the storage area. :) It will get there, eventually.

Annette Nagel - January 31, 2012 - 10:42 pm

Thanks!! I really needed to be reminded of that particular bible verse in my life presently. Hope all is well with you.

Alice - February 1, 2012 - 8:23 am

Tina - February 1, 2012 - 1:56 pm

Life is CRAZY messy with a baby, Crystal, and it is a beautiful thing!!! (Or as blogger/designer Elsie Larson calls… a beautiful mess.)

Rene' - February 1, 2012 - 8:52 pm

Thanks for your words of wisdom my friend. Beautiful new website!

Tina - February 1, 2012 - 11:26 pm

new logo, new pricing, new packaging, new blog

record of our time

As you can see, I’ve been busy.  Making all sorts of changes.  Freshening things up a bit.  And I am so much happier with the new blog set up.

Hope you like it, too!

The image above is a peek at my new packaging.  Pulling it together was almost as much fun as decorating our basement.  Almost :)  I’ll share a few more colorful details with you later this week.

Until then, happy clicking!

Crystal Satnik - January 30, 2012 - 4:28 am
