This is my baby. Knee deep into his senior year of high school and this momma is freaking out.

Between marching band season and the rainiest October EVER, his ended up being my last senior session of the season.

We made our way around Hastings, the river and downtown area reminds me so much of Stillwater I thought it would make for the perfect backdrop.

It was SOOOOOOOOO much fun photographing Lorenzo (friends call him Lori). He had a hilarious idea for his band banquet photo, giving everyone a glimpse at his sense of humor. Mind you, Lorenzo is a percussionist – the snare drum is his thing. But he wanted a professional shot wearing his brother’s hornline jacket/sweatshirt while sporting a clarinet. (Neither one of us knew a thing about assembling the instrument – what you see here is our best guess.)

Lorenzo hopes to attend the University of Minnesota next year and his dad and I can’t wait to see what is ahead for him.

favorite things :: november 2018

1. Guittard Drinking Chocolate. In a recent drink-off it was voted the BEST hot chocolate mix around. You will find it at Target!

2. This ADORABLE pink sweater from H&M reminds me of a sweater I used to own (and I paid about the same for it back in the day).

3. We will be dipping our crafting hands into WEAVING at the 2018 Winter Weekend Retreat. Rachel Denbow is THE expert on this subject, her work is absolutely gorgeous, and she’s been a long-time blog inspiration of mine. Her book (DIY Woven Art) is a wonderful for beginner and advanced weavers alike.

4. I’ve been baking up a storm for our Christmas-inspired retreat and discovered a CHOCOLATE cutout recipe! Simply elegant.

5. The 2019 PowerSheets are out! I’ve been using Lara Casey’s PowerSheets for years and cannot recommend them more. I use them to help me set and meet goals, to dream, and to keep what matters most first in my life.

6. LOVE Slippers. You can even get them at 40% off TODAY ONLY through the Old Navy/Gap website!

Happy Friday!

It was so much fun having the little one in the big kid shots. A teddy bear and karate chops and itty bitty jeggings. SO STINKIN’ CUTE.

my favorite things

1. Micro-Fleece Sleep Pants. Cozy, warm & cute! You’ll find them at Old Navy.

2. Metallic Hearts Sheet Set. These caught my eye while shopping at Target this week.

3. Homemade Chocolate-Dipped Peppermint Marshmallows. I haven’t made them yet but they are on my radar. A sure step up from the Candy Candy Chocolate Dipped Peeps which do in a pinch!

4. Red Bird Salt/Pepper Shakers. Not only do I have a thing for birds, these would be adorable on my basement table.

5. Faux Shearling Longline Jacket. I love the look of this creamy jacket.

6. Women’s Cozy Open Cardigan. With the cold weather kicking in, I am on the lookout for warm layers. An open cardigan is next on my list!

Happy Almost Friday. 😉
