I met Tim and Kate last fall and after spending a couple of hours with them, I knew their wedding day was going to be a joy to photograph.
And after much stress on my end about the-rain-that-wouldn’t-stop, Tim and Kate were married in a beautiful garden ceremony.
In the backyard of Kate’s childhood home.
Rich in meaning and memories…
Despite the work that went on that morning and the rain that threatened their day, everyone seemed UNMOVED. In fact, they didn’t even bat an eye.
Everything seemed to come together easily with so many on hand to help. Before long, it was time for the bride- and groom-to-be to temporarily part ways.
Tim waited outside for his bride to appear.
I just love Kate’s expression here.
And then the moment Tim sees his bride for the first time.
Just makes my heart melt.
My favorite part of the ceremony was watching Tim as Kate made her way down the aisle.
Afterwards, friends and family gathered under the big tent for dinner.
And there was an ice cream machine/sundae bar as well! (From what I’ve been told, it’s a family tradition.)
Kate’s late father made the brick circle rings where the dance was held.
And I couldn’t help but think of him as I watched the sunlight wash over his daughter that evening.
It was incredibly moving to watch their first dance in that magical light. Here are a few more of my reception favorites:
Again, congratulations Tim and Kate!!! It was truly an honor to be part of your day.
