This project requires approximately 75-4×6 prints.  To reduce waste and make the most of your images, use Storybook Creator or another software program to create 4×6 templates similar to those below:

Cut each 4×6 print into three horizontal strips.

Begin by rolling one photo strip into a circle, slightly overlapping the edges; staple together.  Loop a second photo strip through the circle you just made, slightly overlapping the edges; staple together.  Continue adding to the length of the garland using this method.

This type of garland will not only look adorable on your Christmas tree, but it works well on door frames, fireplace mantles, and across windows.  Experiment with the look by adding paper chain links between images or by lining the backs of your photos with paper.  You could also use colored staples such as those found HERE.

Begin a new tradition this year by creating a chain garland using this year’s Christmas images.  Add new images to it each year so it grows with your family over time.
