Part of my husband’s summertime ritual, is using vacation days to take off every single Friday May-July. Working from home, it has become MY ritual as well. 😀
Tony calls it “Friday Frolics” and I call it “Friday Breakfast Dates” – either way, we made it *a thing* last summer and plan to do it again this year. One place we never made it to during our last round of breakfast dates was Hazel’s Northeast. [I love this Minneapolis neighborhood which is also home to Crafty Planet, Sarah Jane’s Bakery, and The Coffee Shop Northeast.] Despite the fact their Drunken Banana French Toast had been calling me for well over a year, I ended up ordering Jean’s Mean Fried Egg Sandwich without a hint of regret. Tony ordered the Brisket Hash, which also looked wonderful. Hazel’s Northeast is high on our “repeat” list! (I still need my Drunken Banana French Toast, after all.) The neighborhood is easy to get to and there is a parking lot situated nearby. Worth the trip.
SO WORTH IT.
