I shared a bit about our summertime ritual last week when we made our way to Northeast Minneapolis.
This week we stayed a little closer to home, dining at The Neighborhood Cafe on Selby Avenue in St. Paul.
I ordered the Migas! (eggs scrambled with seasoned jalapeños, onions, fried corn chips, and topped with cheddar cheese, house-made salsa and sour cream; served with black beans and two silver dollar cornbread pancakes) and Tony had The Casa Benedict (a twist on the classic with andouille sausage instead of Canadian bacon). [You will find the entire breakfast menu HERE.]
The food was great and service exceptional. I especially appreciated my own pot of coffee at our table.
My happy place. 😀
It was a nice little escape from one of *those* weeks and a beautiful day to boot.
