It was a creative impulse, fueled by a question from The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron: I designed a tattoo using my handwriting. I don’t necessarily even want a tattoo! But inspiration was calling. In designing it, I considered a number of things:
=> What would best reflect me?
=> What could I live with for the rest of my life?
=> Placement – would it be primarily for me or for others?
=> Purpose – why do it?
I knew that *words* needed to be central to the design and was quite clear about the message (especially after receiving the following confirmation a couple of weeks ago):
The same phrase written out at least 50 times in my own journal! It drives me yes – and is central to my calling and purpose… but could I live with it etched on my body for the rest of my life? I don’t know.
So I had the phrase turned into a bracelet instead. 😀
