Several weeks ago, I received the following note from a friend [edited a teeny bit for this post]:
Jan and I met at a dog agility class and she has become the breeder of my dogs, my agility partner, teacher, confidant, auntie to my kids, and best friend. Her dog Zelma is a once-in-a-lifetime dog – one I fell in love with who also became mother and grandmother to my two Aussies. Zelma turned 16 on February 29th and though is deaf and partially blind, continues to be an AMAZING dog! At the ripe old age of 16, I am not sure how much longer she is going to be around; every day with her is a blessing. I would LOVE for them to have a legacy session together.
Melt my heart.
There had been a recent health scare so it was important to my friend and Zelma’s owner (Jan) to get the session scheduled ASAP. Thankfully everything came together without a hitch; here’s a peek at what I captured:
Thank you for sharing your precious Zelma with me, Jan.
And Heather, for pulling it all together. 😀
